Your new role
Reporting to the CEO, the VP of Finance oversees all aspects relating to the financial position, performance and prospects of the company. This individual will provide strategic and commercial leadership across the organization, operate as a key sounding board and advisor to the Executive team, and keeps the Board informed, consulted, and up to date on overall financial health and performance.
- Works with the executive team to monitor and deliver performance versus the Board approved annual budget, including communicating the company's financial position to the board
- Provides reporting and KPIs to support the executives in ensuring delivery, focusing on the core KPI's and unit economics
- Oversees the financial operations of the company - bookkeeping, payroll, working capital, cost controls and authorisation matrices and the associated finance systems
- Manages the Company's cash-flow including; AR, AP, banking and financing needs of the business
- Leads, in partnership with the CEO, the third party fundraising processes including equity and debt fundraising through to completion
- Consults with business leaders on key commercial decisions with a focus on clear business case and ROI analysis
- Oversees the company's employee option plan
- As a member of the Executive Team, participates fully in the determination of strategy, providing financial leadership and aligning business and finance strategy to grow the business.
What You Will Deliver
- Works with the Executive Team to ensure the company builds transparent and aggressive yet logically achievable budgets and targets
- Runs an efficient and effective finance function which delivers operationally, and provides timely and insightful information to the Board, Executive Team and the company more widely
- A strong focus in not just P&L performance but driving improvements in working capital across the business
- Raises capital efficiently to meet the company's requirements
- Enables the Board to engage in a timely and effective way in setting strategic priorities, approving the budget and holding management to account
Experience: Must bring prior experience in the finance function in AdTech/MarTech via an SSP or DSP provider
- At least 8 years of progressively senior roles in the finance function, including Senior Director of VP level leadership at early or growth stage startups
- Brings experience building up a scaled finance team from a few initial team members
- CPA not required but must demonstrate extensive comfort and experience overseeing accounting teams
- Has experience in capital raises and / or M&A
- Experience preparing the company for an Audit, including interviewing and selecting an audit firm

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbal. Strong ability to build relationships across the company - from individual contributors all the way through the board of directors
