Business Classifications About the Role The Company is seeking a Vice President (VP) of Field Development to lead its chapter-based field organization in the pursuit of the mission to improve the lives of those affected by type 1 diabetes. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic development and execution of fundraising, acquisition, awareness, and volunteer activation goals. This role involves overseeing a large team that works directly with local volunteers, donors, and leadership volunteers to create and implement fundraising programs and advocacy efforts. The VP will also be a critical leader in the organization, providing guidance and support to a team of Associate Vice Presidents and working in close partnership with other senior leaders. Candidates for the VP, Field Development position should have a minimum of 15 years' experience in field-based fundraising, with at least 7 years in a leadership role for a multi-million-dollar organization, preferably in a national and chapter-based health-related fundraising environment. The role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in meeting revenue targets, expertise in market research, and the ability to lead and manage a large, diverse team. The ideal candidate will have a leadership style that is both empathetic and results-driven, with a strong commitment to the principles of culture and belonging. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
