Job Title: Vice President, Electrical Engineering

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Job Type: Full-Time, on-site

Salary: $178,000.00 - $223,000.00, DOE

Job Summary

The Vice President of Engineering will oversee the engineering department, ensuring successful project execution, innovation, and compliance with standards. This role requires strategic vision, technical expertise, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, designers, CAD/GIS techs, ROW agents, and managers. Promote innovation and collaboration.
  2. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement engineering strategies aligned with company goals. Stay abreast of emerging technologies.
  3. Project Oversight: Manage planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion.
  4. Technical Guidance: Provide support and review designs, specifications, and documentation.
  5. Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments for seamless integration of solutions.
  6. Budget Management: Develop and oversee the engineering budget, optimizing resources.
  7. Compliance: Ensure activities meet industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related; Master's preferred.
  2. Minimum 10 years in electrical engineering, with at least 5 in leadership.
  3. Strong leadership, communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  4. Deep knowledge of electrical engineering principles and relevant software.
  5. PE license in Alaska or equivalent certification required.
