The Commercial Lending Officer will be responsible for business development, portfolio management, credit analysis, member consultation, and collaborating across all Credit Union Channels. This is an exciting opportunity to bring forth new ideas and see those ideas come to life.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Source and develop new business opportunities by building strong networks with Centers of Influence (COIs) and fostering lasting relationships with current and prospective clients.
- Manage a commercial lending portfolio by assessing client needs, preparing loan packages, and reviewing credit worthiness.
- Prepare and analyze credit applications, financial documents, and business plans to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Provide expert advice to businesses on financial products and services that best meet their growth and financial stability needs.
- Work closely with the Member Business Lending team, underwriters, and credit officers to ensure a smooth lending process.
- Identify potential risks within the portfolio and recommend mitigation strategies to protect both the client and the credit union.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on lending activities, portfolio health, and business development outcomes.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING: Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business or similar field or equivalent work experience.
- Eight (8) + years of in the Lending industry.
- Five (5)+ of sales and service experience supporting business clientele.
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial analysis, lending practices, and regulatory guidelines.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working in a credit union or financial institution.
- Proven ability to develop business relationships and manage a commercial loan portfolio.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience leading teams or projects.
Working Conditions: - This is a hybrid role with work performed remotely as well as in an office and/or branch environment in the Greater Seattle area of Washington State.
- Team members may need to attend special off-hour meetings and seminars.
- The nature of work may include prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

The salary range for this position is: $131,000 - $163,000 annually.
