VCU Health At Home By BAYADA is excited to announce an opening for a Part-Time Volunteer Coordinator position. This role will help shape and manage our Volunteer program in the Richmond, VA area, positively impacting our community.
Key Responsibilities: - Plan and oversee the delivery of all volunteer services to ensure high-quality support.
- Collaborate with office staff to harmoniously coordinate and manage administrative volunteer activities.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive record-keeping system to monitor services provided and time committed.
- Recruit, interview, and select enthusiastic volunteers who align with our mission.
- Design, conduct, and supervise engaging orientation and training programs for new volunteers.
- Create and implement activities that foster volunteer retention and support.
- Regularly monitor and evaluate volunteer performance to ensure excellence.
- Ensure volunteers comply with all relevant policies and procedures.
- Stay informed about relevant federal and state regulations regarding volunteer services.
- Organize and coordinate regular support meetings for volunteers.
- Assist in office duties by answering phones, greeting visitors, and handling correspondence as needed.
Qualifications: - Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and high-quality hospice care through effective volunteer coordination.
- A four-year college degree is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of achieving goals and taking on increased responsibilities.
- Experience in health care, home care, or volunteer recruitment is a plus.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating effectively in English.
