About Us:
Lumoset Foundation is a newly launched 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to bridging the digital divide. Our mission is to help underserved communities - including older adults, low-income households, and those without digital access - build the skills and confidence needed to thrive in the online world.
We're at an exciting early stage and looking for someone who enjoys creating order out of chaos and wants to be part of something meaningful from the beginning.
Role Summary:
We're looking for a
Remote Admin Assistant or Support Staff Volunteer who's organized, dependable, and open to helping us build and grow the internal systems that will carry our work forward. Whether you're a self-starter looking for experience, or an organization with a staff member you'd like to get hands-on nonprofit exposure, this could be a great match.
You don't need to have everything figured out - just a willingness to learn, communicate, and help us turn good ideas into action.
Ways You Might Help:
This role is flexible and will evolve based on your strengths. Some areas we're hoping for support include:
- Helping us organize our Google Drive folders, files, and internal docs
- Assisting in setting up and using tools like Trello (already created) and Slack (not yet started)
- Creating or formatting SOPs, onboarding documents, and email templates
- Helping us manage inboxes, basic scheduling, and file storage
- Conducting research on potential partners, grants, digital resources, and best practices
- Tracking to-do lists and progress across small tasks and projects
- (Optional) Supporting or onboarding future volunteers as we grow
You don't need to be an expert - just someone organized, responsible, and eager to help a small team work smarter.
A Great Fit Might Be:
- Someone exploring nonprofit admin, project coordination, or executive support
- A staff member or intern from another organization who'd benefit from hands-on nonprofit work
- Someone with light experience in Google Docs, email, or project tools (we can show you the rest)
- A person who enjoys behind-the-scenes problem-solving, research, or system-building
- Bonus if you like helping people get organized or making complex things easier
What You'll Gain:
- Direct experience helping build and shape a nonprofit
- A strong reference letter showcasing your tangible impact
- Option to move into a leadership or coordination role as the organization grows
- Public recognition on our website (optional)
- Flexible hours, remote setup, and a mission-driven team that values your ideas
