Rebuilding Together Peninsula seeks a strong team player inspired by a vision of "safe homes and communities for everyone" to support our programs. Since 1989, Rebuilding Together Peninsula (RTP) has ensured that vulnerable homeowners and community facilities have safe homes and spaces in San Mateo County and northern Santa Clara County. We provide critical repairs for more than 100 homeowners and nonprofits annually. Both a network of dedicated volunteers and a pipeline of service applicants are fundamental to our work. We are looking for an energetic and creative individual to implement our volunteer recruitment & engagement, and to coordinate our outreach strategy. We're passionate about our role supporting our neighbors and revitalizing our shared communities, and this role will facilitate key aspects of this work. Primary Responsibilities Many of our projects depend on impassioned volunteers. This position will help identify, inspire, and engage individuals and service groups to help power our mission. This role will also help drive community awareness about our no-cost repair services through an applicant outreach strategy. This is a full-time, exempt position based in Redwood City, reporting to the Director of Marketing & Community Engagement. Job Responsibilities Volunteer Recruitment and Support
• Recruit, engage, and retain volunteers who project manage our volunteer-led Rebuilding Days and provide general support for our year-round home repair program.
• Coordinate volunteer protocols to ensure optimal volunteer team experiences on Rebuilding Days, including pre-event communication and post-event recognition.
• Identify and engage opportunities for agency-wide volunteers (marketing, office, warehouse, etc.) Homeowner and Agency Outreach
• Implement outreach strategies that drive awareness of our programs and a pipeline of applications, including tabling and presentations.
• Cultivate and activate community partnerships with community organizations and fellow nonprofit service providers that may drive awareness of our programs.
• Help maintain outreach collateral and material. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following:
• A passion to support vulnerable communities.
• Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal, with a talent for developing trust and inspiration.
• Proven effectiveness in public speaking or willingness to learn.
• Ability to interact and work effectively within a variety of communities, including a team-oriented, small office environment.
• Impeccable organizational skills, attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to perform duties with minimum of supervision.
• Ability to be adaptable and maintain professional decorum under stress.
• College degree or commensurate experience.
• Minimum two years related experience.
• Familiarity with office technology and equipment, including Google Workspace and Salesforce. Preferred
• Prior experience as a volunteer and/or supporting volunteers.
• Experience serving a variety of communities.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish); other languages a plus.
• Familiarity with San Mateo County and northern Santa Clara County.
• Familiarity with basic repair and construction. In addition, candidates will need:
• The ability to work occasional weekends, particularly during the spring and the fall
• The ability to lift or pull 25 lbs.
• Own car, insurance, and valid CA driver's license, or other means to travel independently throughout the Peninsula.

RTP offers a competitive compensation package that includes health, dental and vision insurance and retirement plan benefits to eligible employees. In addition to standard sick leave and vacation accrual, RTP recognizes 13 paid holidays and shuts down for all business days between Christmas & New Year's Day. Salary range: $60,000-$65,000 DOE.
