We are seeking a passionate and experienced
Nonprofit Development Manager to help elevate our fundraising efforts. While this is a volunteer position, there is an opportunity for compensation contingent upon demonstrated fundraising success and proof of concept.
Key Responsibilities - Fundraising Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan to support organizational growth.
- Identify, cultivate, and solicit potential donors, corporate sponsors, and philanthropic partners.
- Organize and manage fundraising campaigns, events, and donor stewardship initiatives.
- Research and apply for grants that align with our mission and programs.
- Donor Engagement & Stewardship
- Build and maintain relationships with individual and corporate donors.
- Develop donor recognition strategies and ensure consistent communication.
- Oversee donor database management and tracking.
- Grant Writing & Management
- Identify relevant grant opportunities and draft compelling proposals.
- Manage grant reporting and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
- Marketing & Outreach
- Collaborate with the team to enhance donor communication via social media, newsletters, and direct outreach.
- Assist in crafting fundraising messaging and impact stories.
- Partnership Development
- Work with local businesses and community partners to develop mutually beneficial sponsorships.
- Represent A Giving Heart Project at networking events to increase visibility.
Qualifications & Skills - Proven experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, or related fields (minimum 3-5 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of donor cultivation, corporate partnerships, and grant writing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and results-driven.
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid or remote environment.
- Passion for A Giving Heart Project's mission and commitment to community impact.
Expectations & Commitment - This is a volunteer role, with flexibility in schedule.
- Estimated commitment: 10-15 hours per month (or as needed).
- Compensation opportunities available upon successful fundraising benchmarks.
- Regular check-ins with the Executive Director and leadership team.
