Summary:

Global Fellows in Courage (GFiC) is a 6-month virtual program designed for social entrepreneurs aged 25-35 who are working to advance human rights and gender justice. The mission of the fellowship program is to help emerging leaders drive bold and courageous social change, improve their effectiveness, and advance their missions throughout the world.

The volunteer coach serves as a key mentor and guide, helping Fellows develop their leadership capacity and overcome challenges in their mission-driven work. The Coach will provide mentorship, encouragement, and feedback to the fellow as they develop their leadership skills and engage in human rights and gender justice work.

Responsibilities:
  • Meet regularly with assigned Fellow (virtual)
  • Provide guidance and support on Fellow projects
  • Actively foster the Fellow's growth by providing tailored guidance on professional and personal development
  • Share personal contacts and networks when appropriate
  • Share personal experiences and insights related to Fellow's work
  • Help Fellows navigate opportunities, challenges and setbacks in their work
  • Connect Fellows to opportunities to access capital (if possible)
  • Maintain communication with Program Director regarding Fellow's progress
  • Complete brief feedback forms after sessions and attend one of the midterm feedback sessions.
Qualities:
  • Experience & Expertise: 15 or more years lived or professional experience in either leadership, project or program building, social enterprise, business development, gender justice, human rights or another applicable field.
  • Skills & Attributes: Excellent communication, mentorship, and problem-solving skills.
  • Values & Commitment: A passion for gender justice and human rights, cultural sensitivity, and a willingness to volunteer time and expertise. A desire to coach the next generation of leaders.
Time Commitment:
  • One-hour orientation at the start of program
  • Meet with Fellows two hours per month for four months (but our hope is you continue the relationship after the program concludes)
  • Coaching Duration: September - mid December 2025
