Volleyball - Assistant Coach - Middle School USD 445, Coffeyville is searching for an Assistant Volleyball coach for the high school.

Essential Functions: - Reports all major concerns to the head coach.
- Assists the head coach with all responsibilities including practices, games, and offseason development.
- Documents and submits all major records and information as directed by the head coach.
- Assists the head coach in the development of each individual player and the program
- Assists in supervising athletes during practices, games, and other events
Duties and Responsibilities: - Has a thorough knowledge of all the athletic policies approved by the Board of Education and is responsible for their implementation by the entire staff of the sports program.
- Has knowledge of existing system, state and league regulations; implements same consistently and interprets them for staff.
- Understands the proper administrative line of command and refers all requests or grievances through proper channels. Is aware of all public/staff/departmental meetings that require attendance.
- Follows established procedures set by the school board and KSHSAA.
- Coordinate and help supervise the program and team under the head coach's supervision.
- Promote an appreciation of physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Support and promote the training program by the head coach.
- Communicate effectively with all members of the school district and community.
- Work effectively with booster clubs and other community organizations.
- React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.
- Support the philosophy and vision of U.S.D. 445.
Qualifications: - Experience as a volleyball participant required, volleyball coaching experience preferred.
- Must pass a background check, TB Skin Test and basic physical
- Valid driver's license to transport students to and from events
- Experience coaching volleyball is preferred
Travel Requirements - Travel to other communities/cities for competitions.
Work Environment/Mental/Physical Demands - Requires the ability to maintain emotional control while under stress and in stressful situations.
- Requires the ability to frequently stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Requires the ability to walk frequently.
- Requires the ability to frequently kneel/squat, bend/stoop, push/pull, twist, or reach.
- Be able to lift repeatedly 25 lbs. with ability to lift 50 lbs. at different times. Ability to carry, load and unload items as needed.
- Work environment consists of the activity location, mostly inside in practice and game gyms. Some work done inside in coaching offices and training rooms/locker rooms.
- Constant student/staff and parent interactions when emotions are high and stressful such as at practices and game days.
