RMC is hiring for a Senior Network Engineer (ON SITE - FULL TIME) to support our customer at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) located in West Bethesda, MD (HYBRID). The Senior Network Engineer will assist the customer with maintaining reliable, secure, and efficient data communications networks at NSWCCD.

The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for the planning, designing, engineering, installation, configuration management, documentation, maintenance, and monitoring of Teleconferencing, network communication devices, and associated elements that support core network functions and services.

Tasks the selected applicant will be required to perform are, but not limited to :
  • Configuration and management of virtual local-area networks (VLANs), routing, and failover mechanism

  • Configuration and management of Cisco VOIP network and environment design and managemen

  • Configuration and management of Wi-Fi network and environment design and managemen

  • Configuration and management of VPN solutions for Microsoft and Linux environment

  • Management of IPv4 and IPv6 network address schemes and allocation

  • Management of network-related DISA STIG activitie

  • Provision of services for obtaining and troubleshooting various capacity leased lines and associated equipment used for interface into the Research, Development, Technical, and Engineering (RDT&E) network and NSWCCD's detachment site

  • Extensive knowledge of, and experience with, hardware and software products, including Cisco routers, Cisco switches, Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) firewalls, Cisco Access Control Server (ACS), Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Cisco Prime Infrastructure, Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and Cisco SourceFire Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), and COMSEC equipme
