As a VoIP Engineer, the individual will monitor and control the performance and status of voice and video resources across multiple enclaves and locations utilizing software and hardware tools. In this role, the Engineer will configure and install VoIP hardware/software replacements and upgrades. In addition, the individual will work to ensure all voice applicable STIGs and vulnerabilities are resolved or mitigated in a timely manner. Responsibilities Identifies and diagnoses problems and factors affecting voice services Troubleshoots voice related issues and outages, which may occur during non-core hours Works with vendors in support of the ITCSU Ensures all voice applicable STIGs and vulnerabilities are resolved or mitigated in a timely manner Performs preventative maintenance services on all devices within the VoIP area of responsibility Maintains a current understanding of emerging technologies and trends in voice and video services Performs other tasks as required by OSC and the Government contracting office Required Qualifications/Education and Experience High School diploma or equivalent Three (3) years of experience designing, building, and/or maintaining communications systems with minimum of one (1) year experience with CISCO Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) Version 10.5 or newer Knowledge of cable management and patching with Ethernet and analog phones Prior experience with SIP, SCCP, MGCP, PSTN, and H.323. Must have and maintain CCNA Route and Switch certification and/or CCNA Collaboration certification Must be DoD 8570 certified at the IAT-II / IAM-II level.
