Kutztown University of Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 7,500 students across its graduate and undergraduate programs. The Department of Music at Kutztown University invites applications for part-time adjunct positions in a faculty adjunct pool in Applied Voice. Responsibilities will include teaching Contemporary Commercial Music voice lessons to Commercial Music voice majors or applied classical voice lessons. We seek artist/teacher colleagues with experience teaching health-based vocal pedagogical approaches and working with students from diverse musical, social, and cultural backgrounds. Commercial music is used here in the broadest sense and includes but is not limited to: rock, jazz, salsa, musical theater, country, and crossover styles.
A candidate is required to successfully complete the interview process, including demonstration of teaching and demonstrated vocal performance ability, to be considered a finalist.
Courses to be taught: MUPF 239: Applied Vocal Lessons
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in music and significant professional experience are required, including performing and teaching commercial or classical voice.
Preferred Qualifications
A master's in Music or a related field and at least one year of teaching experience are preferred.
