VMWare Engineer Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local The Opportunity: CACI is hiring engineers to assist in the designing efforts for a Voice over IP (VoIP) modernization effort. The candidates will provide VMware expertise and assistance with designing solutions to upgrade and replace VoIP based telecommunication systems. The candidate will work closely with other telecommunications/VoIP engineers and installers, network security engineers, and various other groups within the program. Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain virtual desktop images, templates, and pools.

• Monitor VDI environment performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource utilization.

• Implement security measures to safeguard virtual desktops, data, and user access.

• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate VDI solutions with existing infrastructure and applications.

• Provide end-user support for VDI-related issues and incidents.

• Create and maintain documentation, including installation guides and operational procedures.

• Perform regular backups, updates, and patches to ensure system stability.

• Assist in capacity planning and scalability efforts for the VDI environment.

• Stay current with industry trends and best practices related to virtualization and VDI.

• Provide technical expertise in the installation, implementation, operation, maintenance and security of CACI's solution.

• Independently work with internal and external stakeholders, including the end user community, for diagnosing system issues Qualifications: Required:
• BA/BS and at least 7 years of related system engineering experience. Added Experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen, with a minimum, Secret DoD security clearance.

• Strong technical background, with a minimum of seven (7) years of direct experience providing system administration, production support.

• Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong communication skills and work ethic; self-starter and highly proactive

• Thorough knowledge of server and system administration principles

• Experience with DoD STIGs

• Certifications (must be 8570 compliant with a combination of the following):
o CCNP
o CCNA
o ASAC
o ASDC
o Security +
o Server + Desired:
• Understanding of DoD hardening standards

• Experience with Group Policy, DNS, and acquiring and implementing DoD generated certificates.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Cisco (CCNP, CCNA, CCIE) or Avaya (ASAC, ASDC, etc.) certifications

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
