Valparaiso University invites applications for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor, in the Department of History. This is a one-year position with the possibility of renewal, and it begins in August, 2025. We encourage candidates with expertise in world history, specialization in Asia, Africa, or the Middle East preferred. Teaching responsibilities will include three or four classes a semester, including our VUE seminar for first-year students. Ideally, individuals will have an earned doctorate in an area of history by the position start date, but we will consider ABD applicants.
