The Anthropology Department at Skidmore College invites applications for a two-year, full-time visiting assistant professor position in cultural anthropology beginning Fall 2025. We seek a broadly trained cultural anthropologist with demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching. The position requires teaching 5 courses per year (18 credits), including Introduction to Cultural Anthropology (both semesters), a mid-level geographic or topical course, and two upper-level seminars. Applicants must demonstrate excellence in teaching and a strong commitment to undergraduate education at a liberal arts college. PhD required at time of appointment.

Salary: $67,636 plus comprehensive benefits.

All bargaining unit faculty members are covered by a collective bargaining agreement between Skidmore College and Services Employees International Union, Local 200United.
