Job Summary:

Japanese Automation Co. is seeking a driven and experienced Bilingual (Japanese/English) Account Manager in Lexington, KY. This role is ideal for a proactive sales professional who excels in building strong relationships and delivering tailored solutions. You'll work closely with both domestic and Japanese clients, leveraging your language skills and sales acumen to drive customer satisfaction and business growth.


Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships by visiting current and prospective client sites
  • Understand client needs and recommend suitable products or services
  • Present and demonstrate product value to potential customers
  • Collect and analyze sales data to identify market trends
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and individual quotas
  • Stay up to date on company offerings and industry trends
  • Maintain a well-organized database of client contact information
  • Handle negotiations and resolve customer complaints professionally
  • Provide dedicated after-sales support to boost client satisfaction
  • Maintain frequent communication with clients to understand evolving needs
  • Accurately process orders, including rush requests, and track customer needs
  • Perform data entry for sales metrics and maintain organized records
  • Report any unusual activity or concerns to supervisors

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in sales or account management
  • Bilingual fluency in Japanese and English (verbal and written)
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, CRM systems, etc.)
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated, and proactive mindset
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%
