Position Summary:We are a leading California-based roofing and construction company seeking an experienced Virtual Roofing Project Manager. The ideal candidate must have strong roofing and construction industry experience, proven skill in project management, job quoting, repair estimation, and subcontractor management. This role is critical to maintaining operational excellence, expanding our subcontractor network, delivering accurate quotes, and bringing innovative products to market.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Management
- Oversee residential and commercial roofing and interior construction projects remotely from start to completion.
- Manage job timelines, milestones, material orders, subcontractor scheduling, and deliverables.
- Quoting and Estimating
- Prepare detailed, accurate quotes for reroofs, roof repairs, and general interior construction work.
- Build and submit professional bids based on company pricing models, material knowledge, and labor costs.
- Quote repairs accurately based on inspection reports, photos, and subcontractor feedback.
- CRM and Software Management
- Expert use of Leap CRM and other home services CRM platforms to manage job pipelines, quotes, and client communication.
- Utilize and other resources to find, recruit, and manage subcontractors across California.
- Subcontractor and Supplier Coordination
- Source and build relationships with qualified subcontractors across various trades.
- Interface with supply houses to order materials, negotiate pricing, and coordinate timely deliveries.
- Manage vendor accounts and maintain up-to-date pricing lists for materials and labor.
- Communication and Coordination
- Maintain flawless communication with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Provide timely updates, detailed job notes, and accurate reporting through CRM systems.
- Assist sales teams and internal staff with job feasibility, material options, and quoting support.
- Product and Market Research
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new roofing systems, construction materials, and product lines.
- Help launch new service offerings and improve quoting efficiency through innovative solutions.
Requirements:- Minimum 3-5 years experience in the roofing, construction, or home services industries.
- Proven experience quoting and estimating residential and commercial roofing projects.
- Experience managing roof repair work including inspection analysis and repair quoting.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, roofing systems, and industry-standard pricing models.
- Proficient in Leap CRM and similar home service CRMs.
- Proficient with platforms like or similar subcontractor management tools.
- High technical proficiency with project management tools, digital quoting, and remote communication platforms (Slack, Zoom, Asana, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume remote environment.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:- Previous experience as a roofing project manager, roofing estimator, or construction operations manager.
- California building code familiarity.
- Experience sourcing subcontractors and managing supply chain logistics in California.
- Familiarity with RoofMaxx, TPO, torch down, tile roofing, and composite shingles is a plus.
