About the Company:
Our client is a dynamic and growing commercial construction firm based in Austin, TX and are seeking a seasoned consultant to optimize and streamline their accounting system usage.
Project Overview:
This is a strategic role focused on system evaluation, optimization, and integration. The Viewpoint Consultant will partner with the company's fractional CFO, the financial consulting group, and internal stakeholders to assess the current Viewpoint environment. The goal is to improve performance, strengthen integration with Procore, and determine the long-term system roadmap.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze the current configuration and use of Viewpoint across the organization
- Identify and clean up inconsistencies or inefficiencies in financial and project data
- Evaluate Viewpoint's integration with Procore and recommend process improvements
- Uncover and address gaps in system usage or reporting capabilities
- Collaborate with leadership and external consultants to align accounting workflows
- Deliver documentation and user-friendly training guidance for internal teams
- Advise on long-term system strategy, including whether to continue using Viewpoint
Qualifications:
- Extensive hands-on experience with Viewpoint (Vista) in a construction accounting environment
- Working knowledge of Procore and its integration capabilities
- Solid understanding of construction accounting, including job costing and project financials
- Proven background in ERP cleanup, optimization, and implementation
- Strong communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally across finance, operations, and leadership
- Strategic thinker able to offer objective, actionable system guidance
Preferred Experience:
- CPA or background in construction-focused financial roles
- Experience supporting firms with 10+ active construction projects in the $3-10M range
- Familiarity with financial consulting groups or fractional CFO partnerships
