We're looking for a talented, driven, and creative Videographer / Content Intern (Hip Hop Artist) to support a rising independent artist in creating consistent, high-quality social media content. This role is ideal for someone looking to build their portfolio in the music and lifestyle space while working closely with an artist to capture dynamic content across platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
This internship is an excellent learning experience, and opportunity for somebody looking to get a head-start in the music industry within a forward-thinking, creative, and independent environment. We encourage our interns to think outside-the-box and help them reach goals. This is a non-paid internship with flexible hours (minimum 15 hrs/week) to reflect your necessary college credit requirements.
Prior music industry experience not required.
Responsibilities
- Capture and edit short-form vertical content (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) based on music releases, behind-the-scenes moments, and trending formats
- Attend local shows, studio sessions, and events to film dynamic, in-the-moment footage
- Edit content quickly and efficiently using Adobe Premiere Pro or mobile tools (CapCut, etc.), with an eye for trending transitions and effects
- Maintain consistent visual style and organize footage for future use
- Collaborate on creative concepts that align with both the artist's vision and current social trends
- Deliver multiple platform-ready edits from each shoot and manage a content release calendar
Qualifications
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar video editing tools (After Effects a plus)
- Experience creating engaging social-first content across TikTok, IG Reels, and YouTube Shorts
- Strong eye for visual storytelling with the ability to film high-quality, run-and-gun style footage
- Self-starter with solid communication skills, able to take direction and execute quickly
- Must be based in Los Angeles with access to filming/editing equipment and ability to attend in-person shoots
- Must have access to a computer and phone with social media capabilities
