MHS is looking for a Video Content Marketing Specialist who can craft and share inspiring stories that highlight the extraordinary experiences at MHS, impacting our students, staff, key stakeholders, and alumni community. Joining our collaborative team of communications professionals, you will be vital in shaping our messaging and presence. This position requires a detail-oriented, organized individual with a strong storytelling ability and a flair for marketing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Creative Storytelling: Identify and develop compelling stories to share across various platforms, captivating and engaging our audiences.
  • Video and Photography Production: Plan, execute, and deliver a high volume of creative video and photography content tailored for diverse stakeholders, including families, alumni, staff, and students.
  • Project Management: Utilize strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously, overseeing all aspects of video and photography shoots from pre-planning to post-production.
  • Content Creation: Collaborate with team members to create and deliver dynamic visual content for web, social media, and other distribution channels.
  • YouTube Channel Management: Oversee the MHS YouTube channel, including video uploads, thumbnail design, meta information creation, and closed captioning. Regularly report data analytics to the team and leadership.
  • Media Support: Assist media relations by fulfilling video and photography requests for media placement.
  • Short-form Marketing Support: Create engaging short-form video content for marketing initiatives.
  • Livestream Event Management: Lead the setup, promotion, and post-production of livestream events, which may occur during evenings and weekends.
  • Photography: Capture posed and candid photos to highlight school events and student life.
  • Relationship Building: Foster connections across campus to unearth and develop stories that resonate with our mission.
Qualifications:
  • The ideal candidate will bring a positive and professional demeanor, contributing to a collaborative team environment fostering creative ideas and support.
  • Bachelor's degree in video production or a related field; education in communications or marketing is a plus.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in producing high-quality video and photography content.
  • Demonstrable storytelling skills with a portfolio showcasing both short- and long-form video work.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro CC, Adobe Creative Suite, and Adobe After Effects CC. Technical expertise with DSLR systems and livestream experience.
  • Creative writing skills are advantageous, as some writing tasks will be required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage subjects effectively and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to work collaboratively within the Communications team and across other campus departments.
  • Availability for occasional evening and weekend work.
  • A commitment to integrity, serving as a role model for MHS students, and actively engaging with them is essential.

  • This role requires physical duties, including sitting or standing for extended periods, lifting materials up to 50 lbs, and occasionally navigating adverse weather conditions.
