Position Summary:

Canton Drop Forge is seeking a results driven Vice President of Sales to lead and manage our company strategic and tactical sales efforts. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this highly visible leadership role is critical to driving profitable growth and positioning the company for long-term success in the competitive manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will bring strong strategic thinking, advanced communication and influencing skills, and a deep commitment to customer satisfaction. This role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy that supports the company's vision and growth.

Job Duties:

- Design and implement sales and marketing strategies focused on competitive positioning, revenue growth, market expansion, and customer value. Lead both direct and representative sales channels in alignment with overall business objectives.

- Establish a demand generation framework that supports the company's strategic goals. Leverage internal and external market intelligence to gain a competitive edge and guide strategic decision making.

- Conduct ongoing market and competitor analysis. Manage the sales funnel to identify shifting customer needs and new opportunities, ensuring bookings targets are met. Own the development of the customer and competitor fact base to support strategic planning.

- Develop and implement data-driven tools, automation, and performance metrics to ensure consistent execution across the sales organization. Use analytics to inform business decisions and maintain competitive advantage.

- Identify and develop profitable product markets. Explore and capture new revenue opportunities aligned with the company's capabilities and strategic direction.

- Coordinate closely with manufacturing teams to ensure customer requirements are met. Serve as the "Voice of the Customer" within the organization to drive alignment and satisfaction.

- Cultivate strong relationships with key accounts to increase demand, drive customer satisfaction, and enhance overall business profitability.

- Lead global sales and marketing teams with clear goals and accountability. Foster a high-performance culture focused on maximizing revenue and profitability.

- Champion lean principles within the sales and marketing functions. Collaborate with operations to ensure alignment with customer satisfaction metrics and continuous improvement goals.

- Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts to support proactive resource allocation. Partner with Supply Chain and Operations to balance demand and ensure timely delivery and high customer satisfaction.


What you need to be successful:

- Bachelor's Degree in business or engineering disciplines preferred

- 20 years of experience in sales within the manufacturing industry, preferably in defense and government contracts, including 10+ years of progressive sales experience preferably in metals or working closely with defense and government contracts.

- 10+ years of experience in leadership for a growth orientated, dynamic industry leader in a comparable sized business/scope of role.

- Ability to build and develop high performing diverse teams, delivering measurable results.

- Experience with in-depth knowledge of machining and mechanical engineering focused on product sales.


Preferred Qualifications:

- Certified Professional Salesperson, Certified Professional Sales Leader and Certified Master Sales Professional

- Lean Six Sigma Certification Greenbelt/Blackbelt

- Sales in forging industry
