Responsible for overseeing quality, process, and continuous improvement activities across manufacturing facilities. Formulate policies, procedures, and processes to improve efficiency, quality, and profitability of manufacturing operations. Establish and review performance data to gage productivity, and identify areas needing cost reduction or further improvement. Oversee implementation and adaptation of lean and continuous improvement processes. Ensure production facilities meet or exceed production targets while striving to increase efficiencies and implement effective scheduling best practices to satisfy customer requirements. Drive the use of technology and data as a tool to achieve operational excellence. Lead events that deliver cost improvement in the five areas of lean: value, value stream, flow, pull, and perfection. Participate in the development of the objectives and business plans for the organization and lead the operations team in the execution of those plans. Establish KPIs, and set clear objectives and priorities for the operations team that drive business growth and profitability. Work with other members of the management team to develop and drive the annual operating plan; focus on operating budgets, process improvements, and short, medium, and long-term plans and gains.
5 years of experience as a General/Operations manager, director, or consultant within the manufacturing industry. Experience must include: Devising and implementing operational improvements in the consumer/industrial products manufacturing sector; Oversight over multiple manufacturing facilities, including P&L responsibility; Implementing and maintaining manufacturing quality management systems and certifications, including ISO 9001; Leading continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, VA/VE, and implementation Production Monitoring Systems and visualizations (such as Vorne Displays and Andon Signs); Industry 4.0, including implementation of business intelligence and data visualization, including PowerBI, to compile and analyze real-time data to inform business improvement decisions; and Development and implementation of KPIs. Must have previously obtained Six Sigma Champion certification.
Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field
