About the Role

  • Lead manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams. This VP role offers high visibility, direct impact on process and team development, and the chance to shape long-term operational strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising Engineering Manager, Quality Control Manager, Production and Shipping Room Supervisor and select manufacturing engineers.
  • Supervises all manufacturing operations.
  • Provides input into manufacturing process improvements.
  • Develops, trains and encourages employee direct reports.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems and assists employees in solving problems.
  • Assists managers and supervisors in establishing work priorities.
  • Provides backup to managers and supervisors during times of absence from work by ensuring duties are performed.
  • Has the ability to read blueprints and provide input into efficient and effective manufacturing processes.
  • Understands gear manufacturing equipment, CNC lathes and mills, and grinding equipment.
  • Make recommendations for improving production techniques.
  • Ensures compliance with Quality Assurance procedures consistent with ISO.
  • Provide technical support to managers and supervisors.
  • Work closely with other enterprise locations to improve enterprise performance.
  • Monitor and provide input into longer-term scheduling issues.
  • Assist with other operational duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, industrial manufacturing, or equivalent experience.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong communication skills and supervisory experience; understanding of probability, statistical inference, geometry, and trigonometry; familiarity with CNC machine code (g&m,); CAD/CAM familiarity; experience with gear grinding equipment;

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with CNC lathes and mills; understanding of GMM and related QC/QA topics; ERP familiarity
