We are seeking a Vice President of Human Resources (VPHR) for the West Region to join our growing company to provide strategic and operational HR leadership across our multiple operating companies. This position ensures the execution of HR programs aligned with both regional business objectives and corporate HR directives. The VPHR directly supports and oversees company-level HR Managers, serves as a hands-on resource during HR transitions, and drives leadership development, succession planning, compliance, and employee relations for the region.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in HR or related field; Master's or HR certifications preferred.
- 10+ years HR leadership experience, including regional or multi-site roles.
- Strong HR generalist skills, able to step into HR Manager roles.
- Construction or industrial sector experience preferred.
- Strong employment law knowledge.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, matrixed environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Regional HR Leadership:
- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with corporate policies and regional goals.
- Serve as the liaison between Corporate HR and the West Region.
- Translate business strategy into actionable HR initiatives.
HR Manager Oversight & Support:
- Mentor and provide oversight for company-level HR Managers.
- Ensure consistency in HR practices across companies.
- Serve as interim HR Manager during vacancies.
Talent Acquisition & Development:
- Lead regional recruitment and retention strategies.
- Drive succession planning and leadership development.
- Roll out performance management programs.
Compliance & Employee Relations:
- Ensure compliance with employment laws.
- Support employee relations and conflict resolution.
- Implement HR policies consistently.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Collaborate on compensation planning.
- Support benefits programs and employee education.
- Create and roll out STIP Plan templates.
Safety & Risk Management:
- Promote safe work environments in collaboration with Safety leaders.
- Lead HR's role in incident response.
Metrics & Reporting:
- Develop HR metrics and reporting tools.
- Report on HR performance and risks to COO and CHRO.
Regional HR Responsibilities
- Lead organization design in collaboration with Corporate.
- Oversee succession planning down to Market Executive level, reporting quarterly to Corporate.
- Develop leadership at all levels within the West Region.
- Manage hiring, firing, and raises for STIP Plan Members.
- Develop and implement regional recruitment strategies and programs.
- Determine regional holidays.
- Handle employee relations, including internal/external legal matters in line with corporate protocols.
- Ensure policy execution and implementation across all companies.

- Internal: COO - West Region, Corporate CHRO, Company Presidents, HR Managers, Safety Teams.
- External: Vendors, Legal Counsel, Regulatory Agencies, Recruitment Partners.
