The Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI) represents all segments of manufactured housing industry and our 1,140 member companies provide housing for more than 22 million Americans. Our growing association is committed to elevating housing innovation and expanding attainable homeownership and we're seeking a collaborative and strategic leader who excels at member engagement and educational program development.
Our Vice President of Education and Engagement will fill a critical role as MHI continues to expand our membership and grow and improve our educational programs. This experienced professional will be responsible for membership recruitment, retention, and satisfaction, as well as oversight of in-person, online, and event based educational programs. Key Responsibilities: Membership recruitment & retention Develop and track member engagement metrics across all areas of the association Supervise continued development of our educational foundation to expand certification programs and student engagement Develop short- and long-term strategies for improving and increasing educational offerings Oversee content development for member education programs Build and develop relationships with members, non-members and other key stakeholders Develop industry awareness of key issues in order to recommend, recruit and coordinate speakers for meetings and events Maintain and update membership collateral Support ongoing engagement with affiliated state association leaders Collaborate with MHI leadership, team members, association members and other key stakeholders to develop strategies for continued improvement Lead our Education and Events team by improving structure and strategy to budgeting, planning, workflow, timeline and assessment to accomplish key team and association goals Support association leadership in council, division and board election processes Collaborate with MHI President and Education and Engagement team members to develop annual budgets for the department and education foundation.
Ensure adherence to established budgets Necessary Qualifications: A bachelor's degree is required; CAE certification is preferred 10 years of increasing levels of responsibilities in association management 5 years of experience leading, managing and developing a team Experience in housing or housing focused association is a plus Strong computer skills with both desire and ability to learn new technologies; experience with association management software and learning management systems Ideal skills and competencies: Polished written and verbal communication abilities Excellent interpersonal skills; comfortable with outbound calling and interacting with people of all backgrounds, personality types and company sizes Strategic thinker with the ability to prioritize tasks based on member needs and organizational goals Flexible and adaptable with willingness and ability to manage multiple projects at once Problem solver with customer service mindset Ability to diffuse and resolve conflicts Proactive and collaborative working stylePandoLogic.
