Job Summary

The Vice President Corporate Finance is responsible for all aspects of the company's Treasury and Finance operations, including new financings in support of business development, loan administration and compliance, liquidity management, interest expense optimization, and insurance. The company's outstanding debts include bank facilities, issued private placement notes, and project finance structures at various levels in the corporate structure. Position formally reports to Chief Financial Officer and has two direct reports (Senior Treasury Manager and Senior Manager, Financial Analytics).

This is a senior position in the organization requiring regular interaction with CenTrio Senior Management and sponsor personnel.

CenTrio is planning an aggressive growth strategy during the next 30 years. CenTrio will expand the existing district energy grids, build new systems in other parts of the cities already located, pursue growth to expand its public-private partnerships with higher education and healthcare customers (both Design-Build-Finance-Operations-Maintain and other types of long-term concession arrangements), add to its power generation portfolio, introduce alternate fuels and technologies, and provide services to other municipalities.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partner with Business Development in sourcing, financing and refinancing new business and portfolio growth opportunities.
  • Assist the organization in managing and administering the contractual obligations of the Concessionaire entities.
  • Develop an intimate understanding of the Corporate Model and provide leadership in production of the annual budget and long-term strategic model.
  • Lead relationship with Administrative, Depository and Collateral Agents.
  • Ensure compliance with all aspects of the Loan Documents including Financial Reporting deadlines, Notice Requirements and daily account management.
  • Certify that all Bank Accounts are properly funded to support recurring needs of the business such as payroll and Interest/Principal payments.
  • Review, validate and approve all Withdrawal Certificates created by the Senior Treasury Manager and understand all receipts and disbursements processed by Shared Services.
  • Administer and optimize the various Letters of Credit necessary to run the business.
  • Prepare 12-month and 13-week liquidity forecasts for the CenTrio entities. This task requires working with accounting on a regular basis to reconcile the current liquidity forecasts to Budget.
  • Assess financial processes to validate safeguarding of assets and improve operational efficiencies.
  • Responsible for annual budget interest and finance assumptions, liquidity, and financial metrics.
  • On a monthly basis, track and report year-to-date cash flows in comparison to Budget.
  • Review and provide feedback on all M&A modeling activity including but not limited to financial metrics, working capital needs and interest expense projections.
  • Work with insurance broker to procure and actively manage all insurance lines of the business.
  • Develop Corporate Finance team and partner with accounting and business operations on strategic tasks.
  • Possess strong and effective project management skills and be willing to complete ad hoc analysis.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar Project Finance role
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Ability to travel occasionally in the U.S.
  • Experience in the Regulated Electric, Natural Gas, and Water Utilities Industry a plus
  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; self-motivated and self-directed
  • Exceptional organizational skills; attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to deadlines
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced environment, to adapt quickly and to manage changing priorities;
