Job Title: Vice President of Construction (DSA or OSHPD) - Southern California

Location: Inland Empire to start then San Diego expansion.

Compensation: $250,000 - $300,000+ base salary, plus profit sharing, full executive benefits package

Must have extensive DSA and or OSHPD experience.

Position Overview:

The Vice President of Construction will provide executive-level leadership to all construction operations throughout the Southern California. Reporting directly to the President, this individual will be responsible for setting operational strategy, driving project execution, developing senior talent, and maintaining high levels of client satisfaction and project profitability. This is a pivotal role for the continued growth and success of our Southern California division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all active and upcoming projects in the Southern California region.
  • Provide strategic direction for project management, field operations, preconstruction, and safety teams.
  • Drive operational efficiency, quality control, risk management, and profitability across projects.
  • Partner with executive leadership on long-term business planning and growth strategy.
  • Maintain and grow key client relationships; represent the company at high-level meetings and industry events.
  • Ensure alignment with company goals, policies, and procedures.
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor senior-level project and field leadership.
  • Collaborate closely with estimating, finance, and business development teams.
  • Lead performance reviews and project debriefs to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in commercial construction, with at least 5 years in a senior operational or executive role.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-project operations.
  • Deep understanding of construction operations, contracts, cost control, scheduling, and risk mitigation.
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities with a strategic mindset.
  • Excellent client management, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
