The Vice President, Strategy and Market Intelligence will drive insights and lead initiatives that help position the organization to accomplish its strategic objectives. Reporting to the Chief Brand Strategy Officer, the VP will lead a team of seven including including individuals with responsibilities for network development, digital channel strategy and performance, and market data and analysis. This newly created role will partner with executive and senior leaders to identify opportunities and strategies to meet market demand and achieve desired results.
Areas of responsibility include:
Market insights and analysis: utilize market data, market dynamics, trends, and competitive insights to proactively identify opportunities and barriers, and recommend strategies and tactics to meet objectives.
Consumer and patient experience insights: lead consumer/stakeholder research, patient journey mapping, analysis of patient experience data, and oversee execution of the patient and family advisory counsel to identify meaningful opportunities for improvement.
Strategic initiatives and planning: identify, develop, and support corporate strategies that align with Adena Health's mission, vision, and goals, and support consistent strategy planning process.
Performance monitoring: collaborate with leaders across system departments including operations, medical group, finance/revenue cycle, IT, marketing, and others to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly assess and report performance against strategic priorities.
Digital strategy and analytics: oversee expansion of the organization's digital channel strategy, leveraging opportunities to connect online consumer engagement, performance, and metrics with organizational objectives.
Network development: advance the organization's strategy to grow and develop its regional network with referring clinicians and employers/business partners.
Stakeholder management: build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to collaboratively achieve goals, targets, and metrics consistent with strategic and operational objectives.
The successful candidate will be a strategic and analytical leader with strong execution, organization, and problem solving skills. This leader needs to be detail oriented with the ability to build, manage, and lead a high-functioning team, execute multiple complex projects concurrently, develop creative solutions and meet deadlines. He/she should excel at synthesizing complex data into actionable insights and recommendations, have a strong knowledge of the healthcare data landscape, healthcare consumer journey and preferences. This VP will be experienced in digital strategy and maximizing channel opportunity as well as market research and best practices. Strong communications skills and exceptional interpersonal, managerial, and relationship building skills to support trust-based collaborative work are a must. Lastly, this leader will need to have a strong knowledge of health care operations, finance, consumer behaviors, and market dynamics.
- Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
- 15+ years of progressive experience in market, business, or data strategy and planning, including at least six years working with hospitals or healthcare organizations
- Proven experience leading transformational strategies, building data insights infrastructure, and directing highly productive teams
- Direct experience advancing digital strategies; and connecting data sources to proactively or predicatively identify opportunities
