Position Summary:

The Vice President of Finance. (VPF) is responsible for the strategic direction, management, and execution of all financial functions across the organization. This position is responsible for leading the accounting and financial functions. This role also provides similar accounting and financial functions for two affiliated corporations: the National Center for Advanced Technologies (NCAT) and the National Institute for Aerospace Studies and Services (NIASS). The VPF supports one standing AIA Executive Committee (member company CEO-level) subcommittee, the Finance Committee.

Reporting directly to the President and CEO, this position also works closely with AIA's Senior Vice Presidents.

  • Experience in a senior management position.
  • Adept in motivating teams, fostering a positive organizational culture and employee engagement.
  • Proficiency with accounting software, word processing, and spreadsheets.
  • Solid GAAP and financial reporting technical skills.
  • Experience in the oversight of business insurance and risk management
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.

Education:

  • MBA or bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or equivalent experience.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant certification a plus.
