Job Title: Vice President Branch Manager

Position Summary:
The Vice President Branch Manager leads the overall operations and performance of the bank branch located in Karlstad, MN while supporting clients in nearby communities. This individual is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, leading and developing branch staff, driving deposits and loan growth, and ensuring daily operations are efficient and compliant. As a community leader, the VP Branch Manager plays a vital role in building and maintaining strong relationships with individuals, families, and local businesses throughout the region. We are seeking a motivated professional ready to manage all aspects of the branch operations with integrity, initiative, and commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Branch & Staff Leadership
- Lead all aspects of branch operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and excellent customer service.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team, promoting a culture of accountability and collaboration.
- Provide ongoing coaching and performance management to support individual and team success.
Retail & Operational Management
- Oversee all facets of branch operations, including customer service, processing teller transactions, opening and closing consumer and business accounts, and handling administrative tasks.
- Ensure day-to-day operations meet internal controls, compliance standards, and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with other branches and departments to support seamless service delivery.
Sales & Business Development
- Build and expand customer relationships through outreach and personalized service.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell bank products including deposit accounts, consumer loans, small business services, and digital banking tools.
- Collaborate with President/CEO on lending opportunities in the community.
Customer Service Excellence
- Deliver a professional, solutions-oriented banking experience to all customers.
- Handle escalated customer concerns with empathy and timely resolution.
- Educate clients on available banking services and support their financial goals.
Community Engagement
- Represent the bank at community events, local organizations, and business groups in Karlstad and nearby towns.
- Actively support the bank's mission to serve and invest in rural communities.
- Build strong relationships with local leaders, customers, and small business owners.
Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Banking, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of banking experience, including retail management and customer service.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
- In-depth knowledge of bank products, policies, and operations.
- Familiarity with rural/agricultural communities is a plus.

Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday - no weekends
