About the Role We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice Chancellor of Administration and Chief Financial Officer to lead our administrative and financial operations and make a significant impact on our institution. In this pivotal role, you will oversee budget management, accounting, purchasing, investing, grants management, payroll, and various other business and administrative functions. As a leader, you will also manage auxiliary services, facilities, risk management, and information technology.
Key responsibilities include maintaining the integrity of financial operations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and providing strategic financial advice to the senior leadership team. You will serve as the Board Treasurer, establish and uphold budgetary processes, and oversee fiscal and administrative departments.
We are looking for candidates with a Master's degree in business administration, financial management, or accounting, along with 8-10 years of leadership experience, ideally in the public or community college sector. Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential, as is a solid understanding of financial and legal best practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software is key, and a CPA designation is preferred.
This role will also involve leading the implementation of new systems, negotiating insurance programs, and representing the institution's financial interests with external entities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional service and meeting the expectations of both internal and external stakeholders.
