Veterinary Technician

VCA Olympic Animal Hospital is expanding its team and is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician.

We're located in the heart of historic Old Town Silverdale, WA, right on the beautiful Puget Sound-with stunning views of Mt. Rainier.

VCA Olympic is a small, well-established general practice hospital that truly feels like a "mom and pop" clinic. As we continue to grow, we're looking for someone who will be a great fit for our hospital family. We're expanding our surgery days and planning to welcome a fourth DVM in the near future. If you're looking for a supportive, long-standing team with a hometown feel, we'd love to meet you.

Compensation: $ 22 - 27/ hr, Starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field.

Schedule: Full-time opportunity with flexible scheduling, 4 x 10 hour shifts.

Snapshot of our Veterinary Technicians: Our Veterinary Technicians is to provide compassionate veterinary care to our patients.

Assist doctors with exams, treatments and procedures.
Venipuncture and IVC placement
Administer SQ fluids, medications, etc.
Work in conjunction with all technical staff across the hospital to ensure hospitalized patients are receiving the best possible care and communicating frequently with the team.
Recognize subtle change in clinical status.
Discharge instructions with clients when they are able to bring their furry family member back home with them.
Complete estimates, basic record keeping.
Surgical preparation and assisting.
Anesthesia monitoring.
Dentistry and dental radiographs
Diagnostic imaging
