The Opportunity: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting veterinarians with procedures, and contributing to the smooth operation of our hospital.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:Perform a variety of clinical duties, including but not limited to:
- Taking patient histories and discussing basic care within an appointment .
- Administering medications and treatments.
- Performing diagnostic tests (e.g., bloodwork, x-rays).
- Providing nursing care and wound care.
- Educating clients on pet care and preventative measures.
- Monitoring patients under anesthesia and basic surgical knowledge (preferred ,not required)
- Hospital Operations:
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Manage inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Assist with client communication and education.
- Teamwork:Collaborate effectively with veterinarians, other technicians, and support staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Qualifications:
- Experience in a veterinary practice preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassion and empathy for animals and their owners.
- Valid Veterinary Technician license or certification in New Jersey not required but a plus

Our schedule is Monday through Friday 10:00am-6:30pm Full-time 36 - 40 hours per week. No weekend hours.
