Veterinary Assistant

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and be skilled in various aspects of veterinary support. This role involves assisting veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing high-quality care to our patients, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both animals and their owners. Duties include: Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with exams, treatments, and surgeries. Provide compassionate care and comfort to animals and their owners. Handle dogs, cats and pocket pets safely and effectively. Perform blood draws and other basic medical procedures under supervision. Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment. Prepare laboratory samples for testing and assist with laboratory tasks as needed. Educate pet owners on proper care techniques and home-care instructions. Front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and processing patient records. Contribute to a positive and supportive team atmosphere.
