Job Details:
Must Have Skills:

Design, develop, and maintain Vertica databases to support complex business applications and analytics.
Optimize database performance through advanced tuning and query optimization techniques.
Implement and manage database security measures, ensuring data integrity and compliance with industry standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and other developers to integrate databases with various applications.
Monitor and troubleshoot database systems, providing timely resolutions to incidents and performance issues.
Develop and enforce database documentation and best practices, mentoring junior team members.
Perform advanced data modeling and database design to support new and existing projects.
Lead database migration and upgrade projects, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
6+ years of experience working with Vertica databases.
Proven expertise in SQL and advanced database tuning.
Extensive experience with big data and data warehousing solutions.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Experience with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
Familiarity with ETL processes and BI tools.

Prime responsibilities will include :-
Closely work with customer and other developers in a multi-vendor environment.
Collaboratively work with Customer and Business Teams, understand the requirements and implement Service Portal solutions.
Actively participate in requirements and troubleshooting discussions, come up with solutions and implement those.

• Have technical expertise in highly available systems that handle large and continuous data volumes

• Experience and good understanding of IT SDLC lifecycle phases.

• Through understanding of AGILE principles and practices
