Job Summary
As a VAX/VMS Administrator, you will be responsible for analyzing and resolving multiple problems or events of medium complexity in support of customers.
Job Description
We are looking for a VAX/VMS Administrator. This position will be full-time and hybrid in Beaverton, OR.
What You'll Do
Setting up and configuring VAX/VMS systems, including user accounts, groups, and system resources
Installing, updating, and managing VAX/VMS software, including operating system patches, software upgrades, and new releases
Monitoring system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing performance optimization measures to ensure efficient operation of manufacturing applications
Diagnosing and resolving system problems and performance issues related to VAX/VMS and PROMIS systems
Providing technical support to users of PROMIS and other manufacturing applications running on VAX/VMS
Managing and maintaining the PROMIS system, including user access, data security, and system performance
What You'll Need
Required:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in VAX/VMS administration, particularly in a manufacturing environment
Experience maintaining the PROMIS system
Knowledge with manufacturing processes and environments
Experience with network administration and security best practices
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
