Vascular Tech-Reg III

Description:

Vascular Tech-Reg III, FT, Piedmont Midtown Columbus

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Perform all inpatient and/or outpatient vascular ultrasound testing to include various 2D / Doppler vascular imaging and physiologic testing that a level I and level II sonographer performs and additionally performs: more complex 2D / Doppler vascular ultrasound exams, including native renal and renal transplant / renal bypass Duplex, native mesenteric and mesenteric bypass Duplex, hemodialysis access Duplex, thoracic outlet physiologic testing, cold immersion physiologic testing, aortic stent graft Duplex with administration of enhancing agent, and assists physicians with ultrasound guided procedures independently. Additionally, performs trans-cranial doppler (at sites that have this service). Provide complex technical care with the use of ultrasound technology for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and provide all necessary documentation and preliminary exam findings.


Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of registry approved ultrasound program or equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC).

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Must have four (4) years of clinical experience as a vascular sonographer.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Vascular Sonography program.
Current registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with RVT certification or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) with RVS certification.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association is required.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Four (4) years of related experience as a hospital inpatient or outpatient / ambulatory vascular sonographer preferred. Lead sonographer experience preferred.
