Owen Valley High School has an enrollment of approximately 625 students in grades 9 - 12. The school is the only high school in the county and has a rich history of tradition and community support for the program.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
Responsible for off all season basketball activities.
Interview/hire coaching staff for the high school and middle school programs
Works well with other coaches
Evaluate personnel and coaching staff
Assist and guide the Owen Valley Youth Basketball League
Develop daily practice plans and oversee all workouts
Work in partnership with athletic boosters and community partners
Qualifications:
If a licensed teacher, include a copy of your teaching license with application
Must pass a National Criminal History Check
Exhibit a positive and enthusiastic influence on all student-athletes.
Willingness to build positive relationships with student-athletes and parents
Exhibit and demonstrate overall knowledge of the game of basketball
Focus on building a sustainable program and improving the skills of student-athletes.
Previous varsity coaching experience (Head Coaching or Coordinator experience preferred).
Deep understanding of speed and strength development
