Job Opportunity: Validation Specialist at Toshiba America, Inc. - Houston, TX

Staffmark is seeking a dedicated and experienced Validation Specialist to join our team in Houston, TX. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the validation and testing of cutting-edge products in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Position Details:

Pay Rate : $29.93 per hour

Shift : 1st Shift, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Employment Type : Temp-to-Hire

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement new test stations and equipment for the Manufacturing and Validation Test/QC departments.
  • Research and create the necessary documentation to facilitate the purchase of parts and equipment from external suppliers.
  • Conduct New Part Validation Testing , Trend Testing , and validation for new products with minor or major design changes.
  • Develop Manufacturing Inspection/Test Forms and Test Procedures for products in development.
  • Lead and supervise a team responsible for manufacturing testing and related operations, ensuring appropriate handling of non-conforming materials and timely approvals.
  • Provide technical support, including line testing , failure analysis, and training new employees on testing procedures.
  • Maintain and repair test equipment, ensuring it meets operational standards.
  • Perform general equipment maintenance and uphold a clean and organized work area.
  • Ensure strict adherence to UL's Data Acceptance Program (DAP) standards.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Education : Preferred 2-year Technical Degree in an Electrical/Electronic field, or equivalent college hours/military training in a related field.
  • Experience : Minimum of 4 years in a similar validation or testing role.
  • Skills :
    • Proficiency with digital and analog oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, voltage generators, digital data loggers, TIC PLC's , and other related tools.
    • Knowledge of validating two or more products (e.g., ASD, UPS, Software).
    • Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Toshiba Operating System.
    • Experience with UL authorization and EMI testing.
  • Physical Requirements : Ability to stand, bend, and squat as necessary and lift 20 pounds in a manufacturing environment.
