Summary/objective Responsible for performing in a leadership role to monitor financials, staffing, regulatory compliance, and policy and procedure implementation; for coaching the team to meet the service demands of the various Veterans Affairs Medical Centers (VAMCs). To support the daily service demands of the VA contract, manage the inventory and specific reports tailored to the needs of the VAMCs; be a key point-of-contact for both the VAMCs as well as for AMME locations associated with servicing the VAMCs; meet with the VAMCs as needed. Goal is to manage AMME's performance and relationship with the VA to enhance the overall success and growth of AMME Healthcare; and for hiring, training and oversight of all clinical staff and activities within their defined area. • Accountable for the financial and operational performance for the location
• Adheres to and implements all company policies and procedures
• Assures competencies are completed prior to staff doing tasks independently where requiredper policy
• Communicates company policies and announcements on a timely basis to employees
• Develops a customer service team including; customer service representatives, patient servicetechnicians, respiratory clinicians and other staff whose goal is to enhance customer service
• Develops and maintains working knowledge of current FDA/DOT, JCAHO, and VA guidelines andproducts and services offered by the company and all applicable governmental regulations
• Interviews and hires staff as needed as approved by senior management with emphasis onrecruiting best-qualified candidates
• Keeps managers and supervisors abreast of important issues or concerns surrounding the VA
• Maintains a high level of satisfaction with the VA, the veterans and with employees
• Maintains a professional and clean working environment
• Makes sure location personnel receives and completes necessary training to perform assignedduties
• Manages inventory to ensure levels are met and company and VA assets are monitored andcontrolled
• Manages VCAT maintenance numbers, will ensure they are completed across the VISN
• Manages VCAT setup numbers, will ensure company is meeting the setup time-frames to meet the expectations of the VISN
• Runs morning meetings systematically and reviews action items from meetings on a regular basis
• Takes appropriates action to ensure that the VA location complies with applicable laws and regulations
• VA paperwork completion, ensures company is meeting the paperwork expectations of the VA
• VA PO/DAR completion, ensures nothing is listed as open on the DAR past 30 days, to include open POs
• Performs other duties as assigned
