UX Designer - Institutional Consulting We are seeking a
UX Designer to join our Institutional Consulting team, where you will design tools and experiences that empower Financial Advisors to better serve clients such as pension funds, endowments, government entities, and corporations. Projects will focus on portfolio structuring, risk management, asset allocation, and achieving institutional financial goals through intuitive, user-centered design.
Key Responsibilities - Collaborate with product partners to define vision, set quality standards, and continuously improve design outputs
- Design intuitive, elegant experiences that empower users and simplify complex financial workflows
- Work closely with research teams to synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights into actionable design solutions
- Apply rational, user-centered decision-making when choosing patterns and structures
- Deliver seamless, integrated solutions across the broader Wealth Management ecosystem
- Produce and present a range of deliverables (e.g., wireframes, prototypes, user flows) with clarity and confidence
- Take a leading role in simplifying and humanizing complex tools for institutional clients
- Collaborate in cross-functional teams, including product management, business analysis, and development
Qualifications - 5-7 years of UX design experience contributing to the success of shipped products
- A strong portfolio that demonstrates solving both business and user needs
- Mastery of both strategic and tactical UX skills
- Bachelor's degree in design or a related field (Master's degree is a plus)
- Fluency in Figma and ability to guide or support junior designers
- Proven ability to thrive in collaborative, iterative environments
- Experience working with ambiguity and setting direction for complex projects
- Strong communication skills and the ability to contribute meaningfully to group discussions (e.g., critiques, whiteboarding, brainstorming)
- Demonstrated resilience and adaptability in the face of project challenges
- A relentless commitment to testing, learning, and improving based on user insights
- Passion for promoting and evangelizing design thinking within large organizations
- Able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Hands-on contributor with a willingness to dive into execution
- Ability to derive insights from data and translate them into design outcomes
- Previous experience in the finance industry is a plus
