Utility/Heavy Civil Estimator - Atlanta, GA

A well-established and growing Residential construction firm is seeking an experienced Utility/Heavy Civil Estimator to join their team in the Atlanta, GA area. This role is key to supporting strategic project planning, cost analysis, and bid preparation for large-scale utility and heavy civil projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed estimates as a Utility/Heavy Civil Estimator, including quantity take-offs, self-perform cost analysis, subcontractor/vendor scopes, scheduling, and risk evaluation.


  • Develop and execute markup and risk management strategies tailored to Utility/Heavy Civil Estimator roles.


  • Collaborate with subcontractors, vendors, agencies, and clients to gather pricing and scope details.


  • Maintain strong industry relationships to support project acquisition and company growth.


  • Utilize industry-standard estimating tools, including B2W Estimate, Agtek, Bluebeam, and Trimble Business Center (training available).


  • Work in a hybrid environment, supporting bid projects both remotely and in-office.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of estimating experience in Utility/Heavy Civil Estimator roles within the Utility/Heavy Civil construction sector.


  • Strong understanding of estimating processes and construction sequencing.


  • Field experience is a plus.


  • Proficiency in B2W Estimate, Agtek, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam & Trimble Business Center is preferred.


  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.


  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
