Job Summary The Student Success Coach is a crucial member of the Admissions team, playing a pivotal role in the admissions operations. Actively engaging with prospective students, parents, and high schools, the Student Success Coach provides invaluable support throughout the admissions process, cultivating strong relationships to enhance and provide a seamless enrollment experience.

A distinctive aspect of the role involves specialized health career advising. The Success Coach guides aspiring healthcare professionals, navigating them through the intricacies of a rewarding career in the healthcare sector, staying informed and up to date with industry trends, educational requirements, and assisting in finding development opportunities.

Additionally, supporting the Admission Team in our efforts by providing timely information, assisting in outreach strategy development, and participating in events. By seamlessly integrating with the Admission Team, the Success Coach ensures a cohesive and supportive experience for prospective applicants, contributing significantly to the overall success of the admissions process and fostering an inclusive environment for those pursuing health careers. In this crucial role, with a student focused mindset, you will be leveraging these key characteristics:
•   Empathetic Communication : Ability to communicate effectively with students addressing their needs and providing support and guidance understanding the challenges they face.
•   Adaptable Problem Solver: identify challenges, develop solutions, and make informed decisions keeping projects on track.
•   Analytical Skills: possesses strong analytical skills to interpret and draw insights from data. The typical schedule is Monday - Friday, 8a - 5p; however, some evening and weekend hours will be a regular occurrence and requirement for the position.

Required Qualifications
•   Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college.
•   Minimum one (1) year experience working in higher education, preferably in Student Affairs including student services, admissions, advising, orientation, first year programs, residence life, or with students in academic programs.
•   Experience working with students or clients to help them achieve academic, personal, or professional goals.
•   Ability to interact and develop relationships with individuals of varying social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds.
•   Strong collaboration, problem-solving, interpersonal, oral and written communication, and critical thinking skills required.
•   Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with other staff members, students, and administrators and be able to be productive in time sensitive and at times, high-pressure situations. Preferred Qualifications
•  Master's degree from a regionally accredited college.
•  Experience working in a Community College or at a recruiter campus with diverse student populations.
•  Multiple years of experience working in Student Affairs or admissions, academic advising, first year programs, orientation, student success programs or advanced academic achievement.
•  Experience working across functional areas in a complex organization. Physical & Cognitive Demands The following are some of the physical and cognitive demands commonly associated with this position.
•  Occasionally moves, positions, and transports files and office materials weighing up to 10 lbs.
•  This is largely a sedentary role. This position operates in an office environment and constantly uses a computer, and routinely uses standard office equipment including phones, copiers, etc.
•  The person in this position constantly communicates with internal and external constituents and students. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
•  Cognitive demands include comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, synthesizing, negotiating, communicating, instructing, and interpersonal skills. Advertised Salary Range Salary range for this position is $50,000 - $56,000, commensurate with education and experience. AP 3-45 provides information regarding salary placement and adjustments. This is a full-time, FLSA-exempt position. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System.
