Nextant is looking for our next Usability Researcher 3 to join our client team. You will join a multidisciplinary team to plan, conduct, and analyze usability studies across mobile and desktop platforms. Your work will help improve user flow and interface decisions.

The main function of a usability researcher is to research market conditions in local, regional, or national areas to determine potential sales of a product or service.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage centralized systems and processes for organizing participant recruitment, for liaising with external recruitment companies (Knowledge of MyOrder purchase order request tool is a plus).
  • Tools and infrastructure: Keep track of all the administration of licenses for software. Working with procurement, legal and finance colleagues to manage our preferred suppliers list and licensing of our tools.
  • Governance: Document our standard operating procedures, including data security and compliance. Managing data and access to data within tools, including customer information (data handling/privacy/GDPR). Conduct privacy reviews.
  • Knowledge management: Manage our library of best practice templates and guides. Helping the team to maintain our user needs framework and library of research insights. (Knowledge of SharePoint is a plus).
  • Manage the research backlog for the whole team, which will help researchers prioritize their workload and ensure visibility of resources. (Microsoft ADO is preferred and a plus)
  • Help the Research Managers with budgets and resources.
  • Help Research Team to leverage data informed insights to drive operations improvements such as efficiency and accuracy.
  • Create, scale, and execute strategic programs to ensure the team is working at optimum efficiency.
  • Drive participant management process improvements and identify opportunities for optimizing workflows.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or equivalent training required.
  • 5-7 overall years of experience in the field.
  • Minimum 5 years Familiarity working within the UX Research field and participant recruiting methods
  • Minimum 5 years' experience work with budget management (PO/SOW ect)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with Experience Documenting operating procedures
  • Experience working in an operations role.
  • Communication skills for interacting with and using data to drive change with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Research Team and cross-functional partners to create, maintain and refine participant recruiting processes, programs, and partner vendors.
  • Experience building relationships with peers and stakeholders.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple Participant Management Infrastructure projects and programs.
  • Partner with Research Managers on predicting roadblocks, identifying creative solutions, finding resources, and developing relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment that requires independent time management, task prioritization and flexibility, embracing ambiguity, demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner.
  • Experience in problem-solving and resourcefulness with a detail-oriented approach and organizational skills.
  • Experience using MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, or other process mapping software).
  • Best vs Average: MSFT experience nice to have. If they have worked in a Research Operations role before.

This is a fully remote position, preferably based in Washington State

Pay Rate:

The annual salary range for this position is $116,000 - $128,000 in Washington State. Please note that the salary range is a general guideline. Nextant considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills, and other market and business considerations when extending an offer.
