  • What is the most important skillset: Strong communication skills especially with stakeholders and business users
    • Experience building other types of architectures in AWS, like ETL processes or orchestration layers

Will be part of agile squad, will take part in typical agile ceremonies, daily huddles, will share what they've worked on or what they will be working on, will monitor multiple service desks, will be working off a back log, two week sprints, etc.
Job Description:
Actively seeking a Software Engineer to join a talented agile team in Legal IT working to support our Global Compliance & Ethics portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for development and support of our compliance, privacy and financial crimes systems. You will have direct interaction with internal business stakeholders and other engineering teams across LM who are either using or looking to adopt our services.

In this role you will
  • Utilizing Modern technology frameworks such as TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and Web API development practices.
  • Participate on an Agile Scrum Team focused on supporting Global Compliance & Ethics development and support initiatives.
  • Be adaptable: manage priorities on sprint work and incoming customer support
  • Plan work out appropriately, proactively escalates issues that may impact scope, schedule, budget.
  • Develop, maintain & improve production support documentation.
  • Develop maintainable/scalable, effective, defect free source code that meets business requirements and team standards.
  • Conduct impact analysis.
  • Work within project team on iterative development to deliver and maintain a high-quality product.
  • Analyze user stories for validity and feasibility.
  • Provide functional/system integration testing support.
  • Understand and leverage the existing CI/CD pipeline.
  • Identify and recommend appropriate continuous improvement opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of full SDLC development experience
  • Experience with multiple high-level programming languages (TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, React, SQL, etc.)
  • Experience with database development, relational and NoSQL databases (i.e. Postgres SQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB)
  • Hands-on experience deploying application to cloud using CI/CD pipeline.
  • Strong experience with writing tools, interacting with APIs, and automating systems.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps tools such as BitBucket/Git
  • Experience with platform modernization initiatives including microservices, cloud deployment and technologies such as: AWS, Java, NodeJS, Spring Boot
  • Familiarity with home grown and vendor products
  • Strong communication skills
  • Comfortable with agile working environments to include both SCRUM and KANBAN
  • Collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills required
