Job Title: US Medical Regional Strategic Account Director (East) - Vaccines Location: Remote, US Bridgewater, NJ / Morristown, NJ About the Job The US Medical Regional Strategic Account Director will play a critical role in driving scientific and medical innovation to support Sanofi's Vaccine portfolio and enhance patient outcomes. Collaborating with the Strategic Account Directors, Commercial Operations, this role will be responsible for the co-creation of account plans and will be responsible for overseeing and executing the medical activities within the designated geographies. This individual will also lead scientific exchanges with key external experts that influence immunization policy in assigned accounts, nationally and internationally. This role will report into the Head of Field Based Medical in the designated region. Main Responsibilities: Across the vaccine portfolio and our cross-functional one Sanofi approach, this role will be expected to hone a deep understanding of our vaccine customers and their needs, strategically developing and co-creating tailored solutions to meet those needs. Strategy (20%) Responsible for all therapeutic areas and building and gaining approval for account specific plans. Makes decisions and build plans with a combined business and scientific mindset. Stay updated on emerging scientific and technological advances as well as immunization policy development to inform strategic decision-making. External Stakeholder Engagement (30%) Develop and broaden a network of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) for peer-to-peer engagement within targeted accounts. Provide education on disease state and treatment outcomes to health systems across the portfolio and gather insights Establish and cultivate scientific partnerships within the vaccine community to foster collaboration and enhance medical support efforts. Enhance medical awareness among healthcare providers (HCPs) regarding significant medical discoveries and practice trends in Sanofi's vaccine portfolio and pipeline through educational initiatives, including communicating the important outcomes data related to Sanofi products. Develop relationships with local public health organizations. Scientific impact (30%) Bring the needs of assigned accounts and KOLs to the integrated Evidence Generation Planning process and build research collaborations. Assist in designing and developing epidemiological studies to local health technology assessment needs. Facilitate constructive dialogues among HCPs about vaccines to promote knowledge exchange and best practices in patient care. Cultivate a culture of scientific excellence and uphold ethical standards among teams, fostering continuous learning and professional growth. Internal Collaboration/Communication (20%) Collaborate with the Strategic Account Directors, Commercial Operations to co-create cross-portfolio account plans for a set geography of key accounts. Support the Head of Regional Medical in mentoring, coaching, and the development of Medical Science Liaisons About You Education/experience Basic Qualifications: Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD) in a relevant scientific or medical field (e.g., Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Medicine) 5+ years of experience in a medical field role within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with a focus on vaccines or infectious disease Preferred Qualifications: Experience in coordinating and supporting clinical trials, research initiatives, and other medical/scientific projects. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including commercial, medical, and regulatory, to achieve shared goals. Robust network development abilities, with a track record of establishing connections, referrals, and infrastructure for key accounts. Prior experience as an MSL Exceptional communication, interpersonal skills, and executive presence Digital literacy and digital-first mindset Willingness to travel as needed to meet with key stakeholders.
