We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our client's Urology Surgery team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with leading urologists in providing exceptional patient care in both preoperative and postoperative settings. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in urology, possess excellent surgical skills, and be committed to delivering compassionate and patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations.
Collaborate with urologists to determine the appropriateness of surgical interventions.
Educate patients on surgical procedures, potential risks, and postoperative care.
Assist urologists during surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile and safe environment.
Manage intraoperative patient care, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications as needed.
Provide support in the coordination of surgical instruments and equipment.
Monitor and manage patients in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) or recovery room.
Assess and address postoperative complications or concerns promptly.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement comprehensive postoperative care plans.
Educate patients on postoperative care instructions, medications, and potential side effects.
Provide information on lifestyle modifications and preventive measures to promote optimal urological health.
Work collaboratively with urologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment plans.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including preoperative assessments, intraoperative notes, and postoperative care documentation.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and documentation standards.
Qualifications:
Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Certification in urology or a related field is highly desirable.
Previous experience in urology, surgery, or a first assist is required.
Must speak Spanish or Russian fluently.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Please note- The annual base salary range is $130k to $170k. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
