DESCRIPTION of NEEDS:
Part Time call of 7 days in a row of Monday AM to Monday AM
Credential Accepted: DO;MD
Board Status: Board Certified
State License Required to Apply?: Yes
Minimum Years Experience: 5
State Licensure: Pennsylvania
Certifications Required: ACLS;BLS
CSR License Required?: No
Privileges Available: Full Privileges 60 days; Temp Privileges avail on clean file
Coverage Need: Rotating call coverage Mon 7a - Mon 7a. Must be able to work a full block of Mon-Mon. Estimated Shifts/Month: 7
Providers Typical Day: 24hr call Mon-Mon is for consults, emergent surgeries and anything the APPs can't cover. Weekend call includes rounding if they need to check in on any inpatients.
EMR / Charting: Cerner and Epic
Providers Typical Day:
Types of Calls: 30min Response from nearby hotel or home
- Call coverage is for 3 hospitals that are all within a 10 mile radius.
- Each hospital has urology specific staff (PA or NP) who work every weekday 8-4:30. They handle initial consults, see and prep cases, add to schedule, etc. Locations receive acute transfers from community hospitals within system
- Call Volume: light weekdays with Urology staff, heavier on weekends no urology staff
- An average of 10 cases weekly (this is an estimate)
- Average admissions: 0
- Solo: No
- Not a trauma center
- adults 95% peds 5%
REQUIRED:
PA state license; active, unrestricted or IMLC
BC/BE: Urology
BLS required for clinic
COMPENSATION; Highly competitive hourly rate for locums Part-Time.
