The University of Pittsburgh Department of Urology practice in Altoona, PA is recruiting two full-time urologists to join the practice.


Practice Opportunity:

Practice clinic is located in UPMC Altoona hospital

Currently staffed with 2.5 physicians and 2 advance practice providers

Current practice includes general urology, urologic oncology, female urology, robotic surgery

MRI fusion biopsy, transperineal prostate biopsy, urodynamics performed in office

Current call schedule is six weeknights per month, no weekend call

Hospitalist service admits patients

Physicians are members of the University of Pittsburgh Physicians Department of Urology


About UPMC Altoona:

UPMC Altoona has 12 ORs, a dedicated cystoscopy suite with fixed flouro, and an upgraded Da Vinci XI Robotic Surgical System in the hospital.

The on-campus Ambulatory Surgery Center has 6 ORs

UPMC Altoona (part of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center hospital network) is a 400-bed regional health care system providing care to residents of a six-county service area in west central Pennsylvania.

UPMC Altoona is a level IIl trauma center, regional oncology center, and a Joint Commission-certified stroke center.

The Health System's medical staff consists of approximately 400 primary care and specialty physicians.

Hospital staff includes a 23-physician hospitalist team, a full-service intensivist staff and a team of interventional radiologists.
